vly projects are private to your workspace by default. To show one to someone outside — a customer, an investor, a friend — share it via one of these mechanisms.

Three sharing modes

Public preview link

Anyone with the link can view the live app (read-only). No sign-in required.

Password-protected link

Same, but gated by a password. Useful for client previews.

Workspace member

Add the person to your workspace. They get full access.
1

Project → Share → Public preview

Toggle on. vly generates a URL like your-project.vly.app/preview/{token}.
2

Copy the link

Anyone with it can use the live app.
3

Revoke at any time

Toggle off; the link stops working immediately.
The shared link points to the production environment (or preview, your choice). It does not expose the editor or any project source.

Password-protected

1

Same flow, set a password

Project → Share → Public preview → “Require password”. Set a password.
2

Visitors enter the password before reaching the app

A simple gate; one password for everyone with the link.
For per-user auth (each visitor signs in), use the project’s built-in auth flow.

Embed code

For embedding a vly project in another website (a marketing page, a docs site):
Embeds support ?theme=light|dark|system and ?route=/some-path for deep linking.

Adding workspace members

For permanent collaborators:
1

Workspace settings → Members → Invite

Enter their email. Pick a role (admin / member).
2

They accept the invite

Sign in (or sign up) and they’re in.
3

They see the project in their workspace switcher

Full editing access if their role permits.
See Workspaces and Roles & permissions.

What gets shared, what doesn’t

Workspaces

The team-level container.

Project visibility

Per-project visibility settings.
