The cookbook is end-to-end builds for the apps people actually want — multi-tenant SaaS, marketplaces, chatbots, dashboards, social networks. Each recipe is a complete walkthrough: prompts, code, integration setup, deployment, edge cases. If you’re learning vly, picking a recipe close to your goal and following it end-to-end is the fastest path.

How to read a recipe

Every recipe is structured the same way:
1

What you'll build

A short description and a screenshot of the finished product.
2

Prerequisites

What you need (vly account, third-party accounts, env vars).
3

Step-by-step build

A series of prompts you submit to vly, with what to expect after each.
4

Testing

How to verify the feature works end-to-end.
5

Going further

Variations and extensions you might want.

Tips

Recipes are prompts to a real model. The exact code vly produces will vary — same shape, different details. The recipe describes the architecture and the verification steps; trust the agent for the implementation.
Combine recipes. A “marketplace with chat” is the marketplace recipe + the realtime chat recipe stacked. Build the first, then prompt the second on top.
Recipe times assume you’ve read Prompting fundamentals. First-time users may take 2× longer; experienced users finish faster.

Suggesting a recipe
