For async coordination, use comments. Drop a comment on any line of code, any UI element, or any prompt result; teammates get notified and can reply.

Where you can comment

Code

Click the gutter next to any line in Code mode → Add comment.

UI elements

In visual edit mode, right-click an element → Comment. Anchored to that element.

Prompts

Reply to any prompt in the chat sidebar. Threads stay attached to the revision.

Revisions

Comment on a revision in version history. Useful for “this is the cause of the bug” or “good baseline”.

Notifications

When someone @-mentions you (@alice) or replies to your comment, you get notified:
  • In-app notification (bell icon).
  • Email (configurable).
  • Slack DM if the Slack integration is connected.

Resolving comments

When the issue’s addressed, click “Resolve” on the comment. Resolved comments collapse but stay searchable.

Review workflow for branches

For team workflows where main is protected:
1

Work on a branch

Branch from main, build the feature.
2

Open a pull request

Branches → [your branch] → Open PR. The PR shows the diff, the prompts, and the agents used.
3

Reviewers comment

Inline on code, on the prompt log, or on the high-level summary.
4

Address feedback

Either re-prompt on the branch or hand-edit. Each change appears in the PR.
5

Merge when approved

The PR squashes into a single revision on main with the PR title as the revision label.

GitHub PR sync

If GitHub is connected, vly PRs map 1:1 to GitHub PRs. Comments sync both directions; reviews sync; merge in either place.

Branching

The unit of review.

Real-time collaboration

For sync coordination.

GitHub integration
