Every change in vly produces a preview deployment automatically. Per-branch previews let multiple developers work in parallel.

Default behavior

  • Every commit on main updates the main preview URL.
  • Every push to a branch creates a per-branch preview URL: your-branch.your-project.vly.app.
  • Previews are public but unindexed (X-Robots-Tag: noindex).

For teams reviewing many parallel features:

Each developer works on a branch

Auto-generated; no manual deploy step.

When approved, merge into main

Main’s preview updates; eventually promoted to production.

Limits

  • Per plan, you can have a fixed number of concurrent branch previews:
    • Free: 1
    • Pro: 10
    • Business: 50
    • Enterprise: Unlimited
  • Old branch previews are archived after 30 days of no activity (can be restored).

Tips

Name branches descriptively. feature/billing-portal reads better than wip-2. The branch name is in the preview URL.
Don’t promote previews directly to production for unverified changes. Use staging if you have multiple reviewers.
