# Supabase Auth

> Open-source auth platform. Pairs naturally with Supabase as a database, but works standalone too.

[Supabase Auth](https://supabase.com/auth) is the auth layer of Supabase. Open-source, can be self-hosted.

## When to pick

* You're already using Supabase as a database (see [Supabase integration](/integrations/supabase)).
* You want open-source / self-hostable auth.
* You like Supabase's pricing model.

## Setup

`SUPABASE_URL` and `SUPABASE_ANON_KEY` (client) + `SUPABASE_SERVICE_ROLE_KEY` (server) in vly secrets.
