# Slack

> Send messages to Slack channels and DMs. Build slash commands, interactive workflows.

The most-used team communication integration. Send notifications to channels, DM users, build slash commands, post interactive messages.

## Common uses

* Notify a team channel when a customer signs up / cancels
* Post deploy success/failure alerts
* Build a slash command for internal tools (`/deploy`, `/lookup`)
* Send DM reminders

## Setup

Create a Slack app at api.slack.com → bot token → install to workspace. `SLACK_BOT_TOKEN` and `SLACK_SIGNING_SECRET` in vly secrets. Webhook URL for events: `/api/slack-webhook`.
