# LiveKit

> Open-source WebRTC for real-time video, voice, and data. Self-hostable or hosted.

[LiveKit](https://livekit.io) is the open-source standard for real-time video / voice / data over WebRTC. Used by major video calling and live-streaming apps.

## Setup

`LIVEKIT_API_KEY`, `LIVEKIT_API_SECRET`, `LIVEKIT_URL` in vly secrets. Server mints JWTs from a Convex action; client connects with the JWT.
